The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 1,770 tests on Saturday, August 14. The number of persons in isolation is 101. Barbados has recorded 4,548 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,213 females and 2,335 males) since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. ย There have been 48 deaths. Since February 2020, the public health laboratory has carried out 239,215 tests. A total of 101,036 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered by public health officials.ย The National Vaccination Programme has also seen 85,080 people (35,195 males and 49,885 females) receive second doses. ย These individuals represent 31.4 per cent of the population.
