And so it came to pass that on the 30th day of the 11th month, the Dipper looked down on the gathering and it was good. And he said unto his people: “Verily I say unto thee, fret not, for November 30 will be with thee all the days of thy life, and it will have only one meaning even until the end of time.”

But the voice of the City mayor who had often been at odds with the Dipper, said: “Behold the republic! In the year of our Lord 2060 you will have faded from memory and as the land is overrun by motley gentiles, the 30th day of the 11th month will have one meaning . . .one purpose . . . one legacy.”

The people wept. The end.
