Renaz Tyriq Eastmond, of Stanton Path, Bagatelle Gardens, St Thomas, went before the District โDโ Magistratesโ Court at Cane Garden, St Thomas and pleaded not guilty to damaging a door belonging to Andre Thomas without lawful excuse on June 22 last year intending to damage such property or was reckless as to whether such property would be damaged. The 22-year-old car washer also denied entering Thomasโ premises as a trespasser on the same day, without lawful authority or excuse, while armed with a piece of wood. Eastmond is further accused of stealing a sheep worth $600 belonging to Kimberly Tryhane between June 12 and 13, this year.ย He also pleaded not guilty to that charge. He was granted bail in the sum of $3 000 with one surety to reappear at the District โAโ Magistratesโ Court where his cases will be heard on September 14. In another matter Shurland Anderson Mayers, 61, of Bedford Lane, Roebuck Street, St Michael appeared on a charge of assaulting Ian Bennett causing him actual bodily harm on June 18 this year. The accusedโs next court date is September 14 at the District โAโ Magistratesโ Court. Meanwhile, John Wesley Henry, of 6th Avenue New Orleans, St Michael is alleged to have used threatening words towards Patricia Mapp, on June 18, with the words โI Would cut off ya ra***ole head and let it roll bout in de market.โ The 66-year-old fish vendor pleaded not guilty to the charge and secured bail in the sum of $1 000 with one surety. Henry will make his next court appearance before the District โAโ Magistratesโ Court on August 17. Also appearing before the Bridgetown court on that date will be 47-year-old shopkeeper Julian Antonio Wilson, of 7th Avenue New Orleans, St Michael. He is facing charges of possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking of one kilogramme of cannabis on June 21. The drugs allegedly had a street value of $15 000. He has denied the charges and secured $5 000 bail with one surety after Sergeant Victoria Taitt put forward no objections to bail. Shaquille Kaydeem Hunte, also made an appearance before the Acting Chief Magistrate this week but he was remanded to Dodds. The 29-year-old from Villa Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael is accused of unlawfully wounding Randall Catlyn with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him, or to do some serious bodily harm to him. The indictable offence for which he was not required to plead is alleged to have been committed on June 13. Sergeant Taitt objected to bail based on the serious nature of the offence, the fact that the complainant had been hospitalised, the strength of the evidence, and for the protection of society. The accused after addressing the court was remanded until July 11 to appear before District โAโ Magistratesโ Court where his matter has also been transferred.
