Police investigating suspected drowning at Deia Beach

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the suspected drowning of a British visitor, whose body was discovered unresponsive about 12:30 p.m on Saturday at Deia Beach, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church.

Police received a report that a beach goer had pulled a body to shore. Officers responded and viewed the lifeless body of a male who has been identified as Kevin Davis, 67. He was staying at the Barbados Beach Club, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church.  A medical doctor pronounced death at the scene, while a close family member identified the body.

 Anyone who can provide any information that can assist with this investigation is asked to call the Oistins Police Station at 418-2612, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station.
