Three young persons accused of assaulting and using indecent language towards two police officers were granted bail today.

Hairdressers Shanika Kamesha Maycock, 28, and 35-year-old Kire Ramona Murray along with Lamar Germaine Greaves, 30, all of 7th Avenue New Orleans, St Michael, will reappear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on June 3, 2019.

Maycock was released by Magistrate Douglas Frederick on $2,000 bail after she pleaded not guilty to obstructing, resisting and assaulting police constable Rommel Downes on January 7, 2019.

Murray was also granted bail in an identical amount after she denied obstructing police constable Jason Phillips, assaulting and resisting Downes, as well as using insulting language, “You is a bare c***, ya big, red, b****** s***. I would barely spit in your face” towards Downes.

Greaves also pleaded not guilty to assaulting and resisting Phillips.

However, he admitted to using insulting language towards Phillips by saying, “Officer you like you is a f****** idiot. You can’t search me.”

He was released on $2,500 bail.
