Local NewsNews Press Statement from the Barbados Licensing Authority by Barbados Today 02/05/2020 written by Barbados Today Updated by Desmond Brown 02/05/2020 1 min read A+A- Reset Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 320 As the Barbados Licensing Authority gradually returns to normal operations, the transition back to our usual mode of delivery of services – vehicle examination, driver testing, weighing of vehicles, regulation tests, and the issuance of driver licences – may take some time. It requires a renewed focus to create a safe environment for customers and employees, and this is currently engaging our attention. We wish to inform you that from Wednesday, May 6, 2020, the Barbados Licensing Authority will reopen to the public, beginning with the renewal of drivers’ licences where no photograph is required, weighing of vehicles, and vehicle examination. Please be advised that the alphabetical system which has been put in place for places such as supermarkets, banks and hardware stores, etc. will be partially modified to accommodate the five-day work week for persons seeking to carry out business with the Barbados Licensing Authority. A copy of the schedule is hereby attached. We are working assiduously to have our other services available on or before May 18, 2020. As soon as these services become available, we will make the necessary media releases. We appreciate your business and welcome your presence. Please work with us over the coming weeks as we seek to provide you with an efficient service while ensuring that we all stay safe.
