Retired diplomat Ernest Besley Maycock dies

Retired Barbados diplomat Ernest Besley Maycock has died. 

Maycock, who had been ailing for some time, passed away this morning at his home at Wanstead Terrace, Cave Hill, St Michael.

During his diplomatic career, Maycock also served as a Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Barbados Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, both in 1986.

His first posting with the Organization lasted from 1979 to 1986, when he served at the Barbados mission.
