by A Bajan Concerned about COVID-19 spread

The third installment of the popular Baje Fit community programme being hosted by the Ministry of Sport and organised by the National Sports Council could be a ticking COVID superspreader in the making and could potential thrust the country into a third COVID-19 wave.

This could also unleash another wave of financial woes for all, due to another lockdown. It isn’t too late for the organisers to pull the plug.

Every day so many people have to get tested for COVID-19. But Minister Sutherland wants to have 500 to 600 people at little Ellerton. The COVID-19 unit must be sleeping when they allow this madness. Persons from all over the country will be there. Come get a dose of COVID for free!

Ellerton is too small for this. You will have coaches, community development officers, Deejay set-up crews, music that will draw a crowd.

The government celebrated three years virtually recently, why not do the same with this? Baje Fit or somebody sick!
