Sources have confirmed that the latest victim, a 79-year-old, passed away at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The latest death brings the total number to 48. The last patient to die from the viral illness was a 67-year-old Barbadian woman with co-morbidities on May 17.
