A section of the Authorityโs main was damaged beyond repair some days ago, and crews from the Ministry of Transport Works and Water Resources (MTWW) and the BWA are working to resolve the issue. While the recent inclement weather delayed the progress of the work, the emergency repairs continue. The Authority was forced to stop pumping from one of its facilities in the North in order to facilitate the repairs. As a result, customers in some St. Peter and St. Lucy districts will continue to experience low pressure or water outages until the work is completed. These include Oxford, Mount Gay, Josey Hill, Cottage, Alexandria, Mount View, Rock Hall, Chance Hall, The Risk, Cave Hill Drive, Collins, Baltic, Date Tree Hill, Ursula Caddle-Sobers Drive, Air View, Boscobelle, Johnson Road and surrounding areas. The Authority will continue to assist these residents via water tanker in the interim and appreciates their understanding and continued patience.
