In a notice issued on Saturday, the hospital said it can only see patients with emergencies. “As a result of the current COVID crisis, the Accident and Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital is requesting that only cases classified as emergencies should come to the department,” the hospital said in the statement. It said it is unable to see patients with mild symptoms, non-emergencies or those who are coming for testing. “You will be assessed by medical personnel and if found to be a non-emergency you will be referred elsewhere,” the hospital said. The public is also advised that the Winston Scott Polyclinic is closed today.
