25-year-old Vincentian national dies in two-vehicle collision

A road traffic collision in St Philip this afternoon has claimed the life of a 25-year-old Vincentian national.

The victim has been identified as Zakie Williams of Rock Hall, St Philip.

Police were called to Rices Main Road at its junction with Cave Land Road at around 4 p.m. for a collision.

They say Williams was travelling on the back tray section of  a Toyota Hilux when it was involved in a collision with a truck.
Williams received injuries after he was thrown onto the wall of the Rices Pavillion. He was transported by ambulance to the QEH where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
This is the fourth fatality resulting from three collisions for the year 2022.
