The cases consisted of 116 persons under the age of 18, and 287 who were 18 years and older. There were 94 people in isolation facilities, while 3,955 were in home isolation. A 76-year-old unvaccinated man died as a result of the virus on Tuesday. As at May 17, there were 435 COVID-19 related deaths. The public health laboratory has conducted 675,234 tests since February 2020, and recorded 77,767 COVID-19 cases (35,552 males and 42,215 females). Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 162,112 (71 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 152,445 (56.2 per cent of the total population or 66.7 per cent of the eligible population).
