A flash-flood watch is in effect for Barbados.

The Barbados Meteorological Services said unstable conditions affecting the island has already generated 1 to 1.5 inches of rainfall across parts of St. James, St. George and St. Michael this morning.

It advised that occasional moderate to heavy showers are expected to continue throughout the remainder of the day with an additional inch of rainfall likely.

The advisory will be updated by 6 p.m. or sooner if conditions warrant.
