Dubbed the New Year’s Eve celebration for entrepreneurs and supporters of entrepreneurs, Masquerade@The Habitat is meant to be the event for business owners. The producers of the event, TEN Habitat, a non-profit organisation, whose goal is to support and develop individuals to help them create investable ventures, said the intent is to celebrate and recognise entrepreneurs after what has been a hard-fought year for them. According to TEN Habitat’s Founder and Executive Director, Selwyn Cambridge, “The difficulty of COVID-19 and the uncertainty of an ever-changing global and local economic climate placed many entrepreneurs in very trying circumstances. For some, it has been less challenging, while for others, the struggle was too much to bear and their businesses gave out under the pressure. What is unquestionable is that the entrepreneurial class continues to be the backbone of our nation’s economic fortunes as brave and bold individuals step forward and nominate themselves to change their circumstances and that of their communities, and they deserve to be celebrated. “We are seeking to recognise the heroic efforts of these individuals by creating the first New Year’s Eve celebration for entrepreneurs and supporters of entrepreneurs that will feature door prizes with the entrepreneur in mind.” Cambridge explained some of the motivation behind pairing support with celebration. So, while it will be all about the celebration, food, drinks and community, their businesses will also benefit. “Attendees to the Masquerade@The Habitat will have a chance to win a two-person office with rent fully covered for one year at TEN Habitat’s new co-working facility, one year’s membership to the co-working facility and mentorship for four entrepreneurs and two startup founders will win free access to all TEN Habitat’s programmes for 2023.” The event, according to its organisers, is priced with the entrepreneur in mind and will feature eight food stations with different cuisine and pairing cocktails, premium drinks and partying. It will be held at the modernly renovated TEN Habitat facility in Wildey St. Michael on December 31st. (PR) Barbados Today Stay informed and engaged with our digital news platform.
