CARIFTA – Massiah wins second silver medal

Aaron Massiah provided silver lining for Barbados by capturing his second medal of the 50th anniversary of the CARIFTA Games in Nassau, Bahamas, in the final session on Sunday.

The 16-year-old secured silver in the Under-17 boys triple jump after registering a mark of 13.93 metres. The event was won by Jamaica’s Euan Young (14.32) while Guyana’s Ezekiel Saul (13.53) took bronze.

Massiah also clinched silver on Saturday in the Under-17 boys long jump with a leap of 6.49 metres. Barbados’ medal tally now stands at four ahead of Monday’s final day of action. (AGB)
