Bajan Azteca from the Victor Cheeseman barn went to the lead from 1800-metre start and was quickly overtaken by The Code but the Suzanne Miller-owned three-year-old filly Bajan Azteca retook the lead in front of the Garrison for the first time. Neilos challenged Bajan Azteca and ran past her as the oldest horse in the Field Neilos at nine years old looked all over a winner but Rapunzel’s Dream flew past him by four lengths for a comfortable Victory. Neilos ran his 10th second-place of his career while War Eagle placed third and The Code fouth. Winning Owners Darwin Clarke and Paul Doughty are having a good year, while trainer Kenny John, and winning Jockey Arron Daniel were delightful. Races continue on September 16.
