Matthew Ricardo Wiltshire is waiting to be sentenced after admitting to having two firearms and almost two dozen rounds of ammunition.

The resident of Rogers Road, Back Ivy, St Michael, appeared before Madam Justice Pamela Beckles on Thursday in the No. 5 Supreme Court and pleaded guilty to possession of a .357 revolver and a .99 semi-automatic pistol without a valid licence.

He also confessed to having 22 rounds of ammunition without a valid permit.

The offences took place on February 22, 2022.

A pre-sentence report was ordered and the matter was adjourned until March 14, when the facts will be read in. Character witnesses are expected to speak on Wiltshire’s behalf on that date.

The convicted man is represented by attorney-at-law Safiya Moore.
