A 31-year-old cook will appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on February 26 on a theft charge.

Christal Latefah Mayers of Welches, Oistins, Christ Church first appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court accused of stealing one pair of white gold earrings valued at $1 700, one gold wedding band valued at $4 200, one white gold watch valued at $7 000 and one Samsung flat-screen valued at $800 at a total value of $13 700 belonging to Leroy Brathwaite on January 25.

Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes did not take a plea and transferred the matter to the Oistins court.

He released Mayers on $5 000 bail with a surety.
