Taking charge of economic affairs is Yearwood himself. Yearwood’s office will also oversee matters concerning health. The other portfolios have been distributed as follows: Michael Lashley – Legal Affairs. Richard Sealy – Tourism and Foreign Affairs. Felicia Dujon – Education. Tyra Trotman – Culture, Youth and Sports. Walter Maloney – Labour and Agriculture. Ricardo Harrison – Housing and Community Development. Pastor Matthew Thorne – Poverty Alleviation & Human Development. He will also serve as Chaplin. Faith Greaves – Social Services. Melissa Savoury-Gittens – Gender Affairs. Rasheed Belgrave and Karina Goodridge – Shadow Ministers without portfolio in the Leader’s Office. Stefan Newton – Special Envoy in the Leader’s Office, playing a crucial role in diplomatic and strategic initiatives. Yearwood highlighted the importance of diversity in politics, noting that personal experiences often influence political decisions. He expressed the expectation that differences within the DLP would be addressed constructively within the cabinet room, urging professionalism and commitment to the sacred duty of rebuilding trust in the party and the country.
