A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed by GAIA Inc. CEO Hadley Bourne and representatives of the recognised taxi associations: the United Taxi Owners Association, the Atlantic Taxi Association, Grantley Select Tours, Barbados Transport Co-Op Society, Central Taxi Owners Association, Hilltop Taxi Co-Op Society Limited, Johnson Tours B’dos Limited, Quintour’s Taxi Inc., Serenity Taxi Association, and Sunset Crest Transport Co-Op Society. The accreditation system under the agreement, which took effect on Wednesday, is designed to safeguard passengers by providing dependable, high-quality service from officially recognised drivers and vehicles, the GAIA Inc. said in a statement issued on Thursday. The agreement also includes detailed operational guidelines aimed at minimising wait times and mechanisms to ensure fair passenger distribution.
