A 51-year-old man has been remanded to the Psychiatric Hospital for evaluation after appearing in the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Michael Alexander Thorne Holder, of no fixed place of abode, was charged that without lawful excuse, he damaged a motor car belonging to Sherri-Ann Haynes intending to damage such property or was reckless as to whether it would be damaged. The offence was allegedly committed on May 12.

When Holder appeared confused as he stood in the dock, Magistrate Manila Renee took no plea from him and instead ordered that he be sent to the Black Rock, St Michael institution to be evaluated.

He will return to court on June 4.
