The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) is monitoring the progress of a tropical wave in the Eastern Atlantic about 2000 miles to the east of Barbados.

The tropical wave is currently disorganized and is moving westward at around 17 miles per hour or 28 miles per hour. Some slow development is possible as it tracks westwards across the Atlantic at 15 to 20 mph over the next few days.

“On the current forecast track, the wave is expected to affect the island Sunday night into early Monday morning next week. As a reminder, the public is advised that this can change.”

There are no watches or warnings in effect for Barbados currently.

The BMS will issue its next update at 5 p.m. today.
