1 man dead, 4 injured after shooting in Black Rock

One man has died while four others have been injured in a shooting in Black Rock Saturday morning, police say.

Dead is Baggio Boxill, 24, of Black Rock, St Michael.

Around 2:40 a.m., five men were travelling in a vehicle along the Black Rock main road when they were shot at several times along the roadway. 

Police say the driver of the vehicle died on the spot while the passengers received several injuries about their bodies. 

Police have cordoned the road and diverted all traffic as they commence their investigation.

Police say this is the country’s 19th homicide for 2024.
