In addition, the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association’s Chairman, Javon Griffith, has been added as a board member-director. The other board members are Deputy Chairman Paul Ashby; and Directors Connie Smith, Jefferson Payne, Selena McDonald, Michael Holder, Christian-Kendahl Rock, Niska Best, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport or nominee in the ministry, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance or nominee, and Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. “The board will continue to carry out its mandate of pursuing the strategic objectives and policy directives of the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport, including making the airport a world-class provider and facilitator of air transportation and related aviation services,” a brief statement from the GAIA said. Lynch replaces Dr Jerry Bruce Emtage as chairman. Minister of Tourism and International Transport Ian Gooding-Edghill extended his appreciation and thanks to Dr Emtage for his work during his tenure.
