The first match is set to be held at the Dominica Football Association (DFA) Technical Centre on Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m., while the second match will be held on Sunday, May 11 at Windsor Park Sports Stadium at 4 p.m. Head Coach Kent Hall said the National Tridents were looking forward to the ‘friendlies’ against Dominica. However, he pointed out that the current squad has some notable differences. “It’s a very different squad from last year in that several of the players who led the team in our successful Concacaf Nations League campaign are unavailable; however, this has created a wonderful development opportunity for some new faces to step up. In fact, for nine of the players selected, this will be their first time in a Senior Men’s National squad,” Coach Hall said. “These matches will therefore provide the ideal platform to expose some of our newer local players to the demands of senior international football and give them some critical experience.” He added: “It will be a learning experience for everyone, and all we can ask of the players is to try their best and to represent their country with pride. We are looking forward to the two matches and we thank the Dominica Football Federation for hosting us.” You Might Be Interested In Pinelands Youth Soccer Academy receives donation Argentina to help Barbados’ football Football feast The two matches will also form part of Team Barbados’ preparations in the lead up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, against Aruba at the BFA Technical Centre in Barbados, followed by Tuesday, June 10, versus Saint Lucia at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground.
