In a notice posted on social media, the Bank noted that the fake site is attempting to scam users by instructing them to “re-verify” their personal bank accounts online to avoid suspension. It stressed that this is a scam and that the Central Bank does not request personal banking details or direct access to individuals’ accounts. The Bank reminded the public that its only official website is www.centralbank.org.bb and advised Barbadians to exercise caution online.
