The workshops begin on October 12, and run every Sunday until November 2, at the Barbados Community College’s Jean and Norma Holder Hospitality Institute, Marine Gardens, Christ Church. The sessions are delivered face to face from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Lunch is provided. At the end of the workshop series, participants will be able to identify the occupational hazards and risks to PSV operators; apply defensive driving techniques; handle and resolve conflicts in the work environment in a socially acceptable manner; and understand the legal requirements for operating a PSV and the role of the regulatory body that governs their operations. Drivers, conductors, and owners are strongly encouraged to participate. Registration forms are available from the Office of the Registrar at the “Eyrie”, Howell’s Cross Road campus.
