According to police at the Oistins Station, the incident occurred around 1:35 p.m. when a group of people were gathered in the area and a motor vehicle approached. An occupant of the vehicle reportedly exited and discharged several gunshots at the group before fleeing the scene. One man was injured and collapsed a short distance away outside a nearby residence. A medical doctor later examined him at the scene and pronounced him dead. Investigations are continuing, and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or the Oistins Police Station at 418-2612 or 418-2608.
