Police probe fatal shooting in Christ Church

A man was shot and killed during a midday incident along Pegwell Boggs, Christ Church, on Wednesday, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

According to police at the Oistins Station, the incident occurred around 1:35 p.m. when a group of people were gathered in the area and a motor vehicle approached.

An occupant of the vehicle reportedly exited and discharged several gunshots at the group before fleeing the scene.

One man was injured and collapsed a short distance away outside a nearby residence.

A medical doctor later examined him at the scene and pronounced him dead.
