Police say the Operations Control Room received reports of gunshots being fired in the area around 9:18 p.m., prompting officers from the Bridgetown Division to respond. On arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of a man lying on the roadway next to a motorcar. A medical doctor later visited the scene and pronounced him dead. Investigations revealed that the deceased and another man were conversing when three masked assailants approached and opened fire, striking both men before fleeing the area on foot. The injured man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private vehicle, where he is receiving medical treatment. Police investigations are ongoing.
