Police said the shooting occurred shortly before 9 p.m. when an assailant approached the group and discharged several gunshots. One man died at the scene, two men were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance, while the third was taken to hospital in a private vehicle. According to police, Operations Control received an anonymous tip about 8:46 p.m. indicating that a shooting had occurred in Chapman Lane and a man was bleeding. Mobile patrol units were dispatched to the area. A medical doctor later attended the scene, examined the victim and pronounced him dead. Investigations are continuing.
