Omar Rommell Boxill, of Streats Road, Flagstaff, St Michael, was fatally shot at the Constitution River Terminal around 7 p.m., while sitting in one of the stalls. Police Public Relations Officer Inspector Rodney Inniss told reporters at the scene that officers on duty in the terminal were alerted by a number of persons who said they had heard gunshots. Inniss said: “Police in uniform who were stationed within the terminal building were alerted by eyewitnesses who led them to the area where the man had received gunshot injuries. On arrival, police saw the lifeless body of a man sitting in a chair with visible injuries about his body. He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor who visited the scene.” Over at Denton Road, Grazettes, St Michael, police responded to another shooting that occurred around 6:30 p.m. Inniss said a man was shot in the stomach and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private vehicle.
