The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 1,379 tests on Monday, August 9. There are 111 persons in isolation. Barbados has recorded 4,485 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,178 females and 2,307 males) since March 2020. The virus has claimed 48 lives. Tests carried out by the laboratory, to date, stand at 231,927. The National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 has seen 100,573 people receive first doses of the vaccine. Additionally, 80,752 persons have been given second doses and are fully vaccinated. This figure represents 30 per cent of the population.
