The new cases comprised six persons under the age of 18 and 45 who were 18 years and older. There were 93 people in isolation facilities, while 877 were in home isolation. As at December 26, there were 260 deaths from the virus. The public health laboratory has carried out 465,597 tests since February last year and recorded 27,724 COVID-19 cases (13,187 males and 14,537 females). Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 155,500 (68.1 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of persons who are fully vaccinated is 142,839 (52.7 per cent of the total population or 62.5 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
