Body of St Michael man found at the Careenage

The body of 52-year-old Clethan Harewood of Pickwick Gap, St Michael, was discovered early Saturday morning at the Careenage, Wharf Road, Bridgetown.

Police say a passer-by spotted the body floating in the water at around 5:50 a.m. and alerted law enforcement.

On arrival, officers retrieved the unresponsive male from the water. A medical doctor was summoned, examined the body, and officially pronounced death. Harewood was later identified by a relative.
