The 17-year-old Lawrence of Kings Village, Dayrells Road, St Michael, had been charged with stealing a $500 cellphone belonging to Ernesta Thomas-Harvey on January 9, 2019. However, when both the accused and complainant appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court before Acting Magistrate Anika Jackson, Thomas Harvey said she was not prepared to offer evidence.
