Of the 72 new positives – 25 females and 47 males – five are from Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) – two male and three female staff. Nine of the 72 new positives are persons who would have been sent previously to Harrison Point for assessment. As of January 21, the cases at HMP Dodds stand at 357. This consists of 99 staff members (38 females and 61 males) and 258 male inmates. In addition, six persons are presently being assessed at Harrison Point. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded for Barbados is 1,315 – 522 females and 793 males. There are 688 active cases and 618 recoveries. Nine persons have succumbed to the viral illness.
