British visitor found dead at a Worthing bar

A woman was found dead on the floor of the female bathroom of an establishment in Christ Church Saturday evening, police said.

Around 6:25 p.m, police were called to 6 Mix Bar, Worthing Main Road.

The woman was previously at the bar accompanied by  her husband and her daughter — who found her dead.

The deceased has been identified as 80-year-old British visitor, Valarie Phyllis Money. She was staying at South Gap Hotel, St Lawrence Gap.

Money was reportedly last seen alive by her husband about 10 minutes prior.

Police said there was no evidence of foul play and they are treating this as a sudden death.

Investigations are ongoing.
