COVID-19 Update: 17 new cases, 116 in isolation

Seventeen COVID-19 cases, eight males and nine females, have been identified by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The facility conducted 1,203 tests on Wednesday, July 14.

There are currently 116 people in isolation.

A total of 4,230 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,048 females and 2,182 males) have been recorded since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. There have been 48 deaths.

To date, the public health laboratory has carried out 198,083 tests.

The National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 has seen 96,990 people receiving first doses of the vaccine. Additionally, 72,894 persons have been given second doses and are fully vaccinated. This number represents 26.9 per cent of the population. (BGIS)
