Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in St Michael Saturday evening.
According to the police, shortly before 7 they responded to the scene of a reported shooting incident, which came to the Operations Control Room via telephone call.
It was reported to police that a man had been in an altercation with a number of men and was shot in the process.
Police are currently on the scene where the lifeless body of a young male is on the roadway, which leads to the business area at Lears.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
