The victim has been identified as Daryl Niles, 40, of Mahogany Lane, St Micahel. Police say they received a report around 8:40 p.m. on Friday that a male presented at the A&E Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with what appeared to be stab wounds. Preliminary investigations revealed that earlier in the night, two men were liming at a shop at Green Park Lane, St Michael when they became involved in a verbal dispute. Police say the dispute escalated into a physical altercation which left one man injured. He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment where he later died. The Barbados Police Service is appealing to anyone who can provide any information pertaining to this incident, to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (Central) at 430-7189 or 430-7190, Central Police Station at 430-7676, Police emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477) or any Police Station.
