Fields, 71, of Edey Village, Christ Church, has pleaded not guilty to having sexual intercourse with a woman without her consent, knowing that she did not consent or was reckless as to whether she consented, on September 28, 2020. The complainant told the nine-member jury that Fields, who had been a longtime family friend, was working at her home tiling the shower when he raped her in the bathroom, while her husband was out. Several witnesses, including the complainant’s son and husband and police officers, have already given evidence. The matter is being heard before Madam Justice Wanda Blair. The case is being prosecuted by Senior State Counsel Joyann Catwell and State Counsel Maya Kellman. Fields is represented by attorneys Neville Reid and Kristin Vanderpool.
